It has been six long, winding, sometimes exhausting, sometimes exilharating years: finally I am here in the wonderful Alentejo, the country of perception, in Portugal, to take to the field The Traveling Light, a project I imagined for very young people in april 2020. From 2024, the project was developed with the precious help and insight of a special person, Joana Krämer Horta, who is also the director of the festival Ponto d’Orvalho, under which umbrella we are now starting to work, here from the fascinating horizons at Montado do Freixo do Meio. Portugal’s Alentejo has a quality: it is a magical and powerful experience, it is a sweet but overwhelming caress of the senses, a change of perception. Obrigado for this opportunity to take the geopoetic practice on step beyond, into the horizon. And I can tell youn this: here, in Alentejo, the light does travel a long way into the infinite oceans of our imagination and boundless landscapes.
